Today on 106&Park’s Wild-Out-Wednesday a men’s R&B group called NJ 5ive sang their way to a big, crystal trophy for best performance! Horrah.. I don’t usually enjoy WOW, but let’s just say NJ 5ive wasn’t just vocally gifted, but also pretty easy on the eyes..

Mariah Carey came into work the other day and told the producers, “If you film me on my left side, I’m going to walk out!” Now, I went online and looked at the first few pages of image results for her name .. and she’s always positioned in a way that hides the left side of her face.. hmm.. intriguing.

Yesterday on 106&Park, we had a few big big big stars.

LL Cool J – who was VERY cute and VERY sweet and polite – taking pictures with staff kids who happened to come with their parents to work.

Timbaland – who was a big, rude diva.

And Nas, who accidentally stepped on my foot, turned around and say oh-so-sheepishly “Oh, I’m sorry! Are you okay?” True Gs don’t apologize (so i hear), so perhaps my adorable demeanor has the capability of changing Gs to Gentlemen… wait. isn’t that a TV show?

Today was extremely hectic. On 106&Park we had:

So, to reward my stress-resistant at-work-attitude, I went to heaven, also known as Pinkberry. It’s a fabulous frozen custard place that’s super low-cal. What I got (below) was the medium green tea custard, blackberries and kiwis, and it was less than 200 calories! There really is a god!!

Then, after leaving Pinkberry, I took a different route back to my place, and I came across the Seinfeld Diner!!!! I didn’t realize it was so close to me! Rumor has it, though, that the food isn’t as good as the sitcom.. tragic.

Hello all! care for a little update?

Things are going pretty normally. Yesterday, Ne-yo, Plies, and Lil Wayne were in the studio for 106&Park. Lil Wayne, who’s like 5′6″, was actually really courteous, friendly and adorable! 

Work is still kind of boring, though. It really is just mostly standing around and then just sitting around. for 8 hours. I guess it could be worse.

I had my first real day of work today, and I realized that it’s not just bitch work! The simple rundown of my job is this: On the weekends, I’ll do work for CBS Weekend News, and I’m not really sure what this entails, but I’ll definitely update after this weekend. BUT, on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I’m working for BETs 106 & Park. BET rents a studio in the CBS building. Anyway, for those of you who haven’t seen the show, it’s basically a countdown of the top-10 r&b and hip-hop videos. They also host various talent everyday. And I pretty much do crowd control and behind the scenes stuff. And – are you ready for this? – today Busta Rhymes was on the show!!

He was really nice. Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch him perform on the show, since I have to get my fireguard certification to be in the studio (which I’m getting tomorrow).

Also, Lloyd was in the studio.. I haven’t really heard of him before, but when he was leaving to go back to the greenroom, he did that thing where you go up and fake-punch people in the stomach and then he Will Smith-wooed in my face. So.. that was interesting.

A lot of big stars come to the show – Madonna was on a few weeks ago, and Janet Jackson came by on Monday. So. That’s really exciting!!
