Today I’m working a 6am-7pm shift doing the Early Show and then Weekend News. Usually on the Early Show I wait outside for the guests to arrive, escort them to the green room, and then take them to their car after their done on the show. Because there are so many people hanging around the set, I’m never quite sure who works for CBS, who’s in the audience and who is just creeping around.
Well.
Today was. Uncomfortable. A man in his mid-30s, a tall, black man, who was going a little bit grey, but dressed quite nicely in a suit and dress shoes approached me as I was doodling on my guest list.
Hi! Are you here for the show? I said. Um. Kind of, he said, which show is it? It’s the Early Show on CBS, I answered.
And he kept standing there. So I made conversation, because I felt like I should. Because he kept standing there. I told him about my job and asked what he did. I mean. I had no idea who he was and why he was there.
And then, all of the sudden, he just through out We should have lunch sometime, if you like.
And I said, Um.. Okay.. and he asked if I had a card, and I replied that I’m just am intern. And he said, Well, I guess I’ll see you around sometime.
And I just had to go inside and pretend to be busy. How old did this guy think I was?? And he didn’t even look like … someone who is creepy… ew…

Have to say that its kind of nice to find someone that knows what their talking about. M. G. L.
