I had my first real day of work today, and I realized that it’s not just bitch work! The simple rundown of my job is this: On the weekends, I’ll do work for CBS Weekend News, and I’m not really sure what this entails, but I’ll definitely update after this weekend. BUT, on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I’m working for BETs 106 & Park. BET rents a studio in the CBS building. Anyway, for those of you who haven’t seen the show, it’s basically a countdown of the top-10 r&b and hip-hop videos. They also host various talent everyday. And I pretty much do crowd control and behind the scenes stuff. And – are you ready for this? – today Busta Rhymes was on the show!!
He was really nice. Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch him perform on the show, since I have to get my fireguard certification to be in the studio (which I’m getting tomorrow).
Also, Lloyd was in the studio.. I haven’t really heard of him before, but when he was leaving to go back to the greenroom, he did that thing where you go up and fake-punch people in the stomach and then he Will Smith-wooed in my face. So.. that was interesting.
A lot of big stars come to the show – Madonna was on a few weeks ago, and Janet Jackson came by on Monday. So. That’s really exciting!!
